Designed by Jeane Swemba-Kest the cabinetry throughout the house
features the Springfield door style finished in Blackstone stain
on Lyptus.
Her clients wanted a sleek, contemporary look that would
emphasize form yet be totally functional. Their Florida
residence would be used for frequent weekend quests and lots of
entertaining. The selected the Springfield door style for its
simplicity and Lyptus wood for its rich grain (because of the
prominent grain, the stacked cabinets had to be grain matched).
Kitchen:
- Rolling
stainless steel ladder to reach the high storage cabinets
- Wrap around
island with extensive seating, sink, dishwasher and stainless
countertops
- A central
bake center with stainless steel pocket doors, roll out
shelves and power outlets to house the easily usable small
appliances.
- An
additional dishwasher near the cook top and directly under the
“plumbed” espresso machine
- Small step
ladder in the toe kick next to the double oven cabinet
- Warming
drawer under the cook top
- Computer
desk
Entertainment Center
The
entertainment center the leisure room continues the sleek look
of the kitchen with component storage under the built in flat
screen TV. The adjoining area contains custom lighted stainless
art shelves and additional desk.
